Why GE?
GE's remarketing strategy
Vehicle sales returns that consistently outperform the marketThe primary objective of GE's Remarketing Strategy is to ensure that we dispose of all vehicles efficiently, maximising the net sale value. This means selling the right vehicle, through the right remarketing channel, for the highest possible price whilst incurring the lowest cost of disposal, in the shortest possible time.
By understanding these key drivers we are able to adapt to any market changes quickly and effectively.
In evidence of the success of our remarketing approach, we have outperformed the market consistently in the last 48 months in terms of our sales performance and time taken to sell. We believe that this is the best approach to achieve the maximum net return for our customers. Our proactive management of our auction partners ensures that we continually deliver higher results.
GE typically achieves 5.4% higher returns and sells vehicles 30% faster than an individual customer remarketing their own vehicles.
Sales channels
Strategically positioned for maximum returnsIn addition to vehicle sales directly to drivers, GE utilises two key vehicle remarketing channels in order to maximise potential sales revenue; the largest of which is auction sales, with vehicles also being sold via online sales channels.
Our online 'direct to trade' sales channel allows us to utilise the benefits of the Internet for the remarketing of your vehicles. This channel gives us access to every approved UK car dealer, a total of approximately 6000 dealers/potential buyers.
We operate from 4 auction locations, strategically placed down the spine of mainland UK in the North West, East Midlands and South East of England. The largest of these auctions attracts up to 300 buyers and 1000 vehicles on any one day. In addition, we operate a dedicated LCV sale allowing us to optimise sales potential for our customers' LCVs.
Remarketing your vehicles through a small number of auction sites means we can ensure each of our sales is attended by one of our specialist Auction Managers. This allows us to build relationships with both auctioneers and importantly buyers. We build knowledge of the auction trade and make on-the-spot decisions about individual sales in order to maximise both the price and volume of your sales.
