About Sandy

Sandy has a 20 year career in GE spanning across both consumer and commercial finance where she has successfully developed her career in marketing, commercial, quality and business management. She was appointed Chief Operating Officer for GE Capital UK, in January 2013, heading up our Operations, IT, Sourcing, BCM and Strategic Project functions.


After 9 years in GE Consumer Finance in a variety of roles, she joined GE Commercial Finance in 2001 as a Master Black Belt and was soon promoted to Quality Leader, Europe. In 2006, she relocated to Sweden for a 12 month international assignment as Managing Director, Equipment Finance, for our Nordic region.


Returning to the UK, Sandy became Commercial Leader for GE Capital Solutions. She was appointed Lean Six Sigma Leader for GE Capital EMEA in 2009.


Sandy was awarded a distinction in Business and Finance, HND at the College for Distributive Trades, London. She is a certified GE Quality Leader. Sandy champions gender diversity: she co-leads the EMEA community of the GE Women’s Network which spans 35 countries. She is on the board of the City Women’s Network as Chair of the Membership Committee.


Sandy is passionate about keeping fit. She enjoys working out with a personal trainer, running outdoors and dynamic Pilates.
