Invoice Finance
Invoice financing is a flexible source of working capital that offers you up to 90% of your invoice value - before you are paid by your customers - within 24 hours. Unlike overdrafts, invoice finance funding rises relative to the sales your business makes, within the availability offered. It can be an essential tool to allow your business to grow faster.
At GE Capital UK, we are able to offer both confidential and disclosed invoice discounting.
Inventory Finance
GE Capital can provide financing against your stocks of raw material, finished product, and in some instances, work in progress. We will review and obtain a professional valuation of your inventory, which will often include absorbed overhead costs, and determine its true underlying value – which can be in excess of the value you attribute to it in the balance sheet. GE continuously updates this valuation using periodic information provided by you, and against it provides a revolving inventory loan equating to up to 80% of this value.
This facility can be drawn and repaid just like any revolving loan – and just like receivables finance, the amount which can be borrowed is directly linked to the value of the underlying asset. So if your success requires you to hold more stock, or indeed if slow market conditions cause a build-up of stock for entirely the opposite reason, inventory finance from GE Capital may be the solution you are looking for.
Plant and Machinery Finance
As a full Asset Based Lender, GE Capital looks to release working capital from more than just trade debtors and inventory. We also consider the unencumbered plant, equipment and machinery owned by your business as the basis for a range of facilities which can ease your cash flow.
Cross Border and Pan-European financing
Being a truly global firm, GE appreciates that many of our customers have operations outside their principal country of business.
GE Capital can adopt a one-stop, cross-border funding approach, placing multiple financing solutions at your disposal. Options include:
- Establishing multiple Asset-Based Lending or Invoice Discounting lines under a single umbrella facility
- Pooling receivables across multiple jurisdictions into a single borrowing facility via our Pan-European Receivables Financing solution. The pooling of receivables under a special purpose vehicle structure enables funding to be centralised, advance rates to be maximised and a broad range of jurisdictions to be included in the facility
- Establishing country-by-country solutions in jurisdictions where GE expertise exists
Real Estate
As part of a larger package of facilities - including revolving receivables, inventory finance, and plant and machinery term loans - GE Capital can also provide loans against any property assets in the UK which are free of any legal creditor claims or holds.
Our term loan facilities for real estate typically represent a minority component of a broader asset-based lending solution, and amortise over the facility term.
Credit Protection
Unlocking capital trapped in assets to help you build your business
For many businesses, the value of the sales ledger is the company’s most important asset. Our commercial credit protection facility guards your business against the risks involved in the sale of goods and services, both at home and abroad.
At GE Capital, we understand some events are out of your control. That’s why, in addition to sound business financing solutions, we offer comprehensive credit protection.
With credit protection, you are safeguarded against the potentially devastating effects of a loss caused by the insolvency of one or more of your customers.
GE Capital Credit Protection protects your company against the ups and downs of everyday business - stabilising your cash flow, optimising your cash flow requirements and increasing the focus on your core business.
Trade Finance
GE Capital offers Trade Financing as a complementary product that helps you navigate the complexities of international markets.
Doing business overseas brings enormous opportunity - but also many potential risks.
International trade practices vary, and there exist a variety of trade instruments, such as letters of credit and bills of exchange. Your business may be subject to exchange rate movements, or simply be challenged by the task of ensuring you receive payment for goods sold.
GE Capital mitigates your risks and provides advice on how best to finance your overseas growth. We also assist in seasonal funding requirements.
